From the Nova Scotia Nature Trust –
A big thank you to Halifax Regional Council for voting to give $300,000 to help us reach our $7 million goal! Together with all of our generous supporters you have made the 100 Wild Islands a reality, with over 85% of the islands now secured and protected. Opportunities to protect large, undisturbed and ecologically rich coastal archipelagos like 100 Wild Islands are increasingly rare across the planet and yet, together, we are doing exactly that!
Because our work is not over yet, the Nature Trust is creating an exciting new initiative that provides the opportunity for Nova Scotians to support and shape the next big step in the campaign – the long-term stewardship and public enjoyment of this amazing coastal wilderness. We can’t wait to tell you more about it in the coming weeks! Stay tuned!
