Saturday, June 3rd, marks the start of the 4th Annual Cold Waters Seafood Festival on Nova Scotia’s Eastern Shore. That’s only 10 days away! The event is hosted at Memory Lane Heritage Village, just 15 minutes west of Murphy’s Camping on the Ocean.
The cold clear waters of the Eastern Shore yield some of the best seafood in the province, and now you can sample it at its freshest: Lobsters, Mussels, Clams, and Haddock served a variety of ways, along with traditional heritage foods such as Chowder, Fishcakes and Beans, and Smoked Fish.
There will be family activities and skills demonstrations such as paint-your-own-buoy, dory rides, net knitting, and lobster trap building. And you’ll be able to sample traditional foods such as Solomon Gundy, Herring and Potatoes, and hot smoked fish. Be sure to head to Memory Lane Heritage Village on June 3rd or 4th for some of the best tasting seafood Nova Scotia has to offer!
