THANK YOU ! We would like to thank all those who came out this year to Murphy’s Camping on the Ocean and made it an exceptional year. After 2 years of Covid lock downs we were happy to welcome back visitors from Nova Scotia and the rest of Canada as well as those travelling internationally. We met people from the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Austria, France, Belgium, South Africa, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and may states across the USA. WOW!
UPGRADES As many of you are aware Murphy’s Camping on the Ocean has been operating for over 60 years. While much of the Murphy’s appeal is the result of the welcoming, old-style family campground feel, we recognize that maintenance, upgrades and the addition of creature comforts are just as important.
- 2020 we added a dump station near the campground entrance.
- 2021 saw the arrival of the “Sea Warrior” and Ryan expanded our Ocean Experiences to include private tours as well as day trips and overnight stays on the Wild Islands.
- In 2022 we upgraded the road access to the tenting sites 37 – 51, added a new ramp and float in our marina, and renovated the Upper Deck rental unit. We are currently working on a new online booking system which will allow you to see, select and book your own site as well as book boat tours and rentals.
- In 2023 we hope to have wifi throughout the campground and a water treatment system in place to restore potable water. This unfortunate issue arose part way through 2022.
- Other improvements are on the way!
