We’ve been listed by the Globe & Mail as one of the 10 best campgrounds in Canada and have been operating as a gateway to the 100 Wild Islands since before they were known as the wild islands! Since its founding in 1960, our campground has accommodated guests from more than 60 different countries, and now serves more than 6000 guests per year!
Job Positions
Guest Services Representative (NSCC Co-op Position)
This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, self-motivated, team player, ideally with Front Desk or other tourism/service industry experience. The successful candidate will have a professional appearance and demeanor and be able to deal with a wide variety of people and situations. In an ideal scenario, this will lead to a permanent full-time position with the business within the next 1-2 years.
Compensation
- $19.00 per hour, plus vacation pay
- 40 hours per week, flexible depending on applicant’s availability
- Accommodations and/or relocation assistance is available
Estimated Work Term
- April 1st – August 30th, flexible depending on applicant’s availability
- Opportunity for 4 day work week

Qualifications
- The ideal candidate is passionate about providing unforgettable outdoor experiences!
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer literate with good typing skills
- Flexibility in weekly schedule/ability to work evenings and weekends
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Experience and/or education in the tourism/service industry is an asset
- Interest in small business and entrepreneurship is an asset
- Interest and knowledge of conservation, sustainability, and the Eastern Shores’ Wild Islands is an asset
- Bilingualism (French/German) is an asset
Work Tasks and Responsibilities
- Greeting & registering guests into the campground
- Accepting reservations and answering guest inquiries by phone, email, and in person
- Registering & scheduling guests for Wild Islands Adventures and Scenic Boat Tours
- Use the phrase “wild islands” somewhere in your application to ensure you’ve read these responsibilities
- Grounds-keeping & facility maintenance
- Administration of Wild Islands Adventures
- Other general campground administration as needed
- Assistance with other campground projects as needed
