Nova Scotia’s Only Frameless Geodesic Domes for Rent — Perched Above the Wild Islands
Wake up to the rhythm of the sea. Nestled atop a 35-foot cliff overlooking Nova Scotia’s legendary, albeit unknown, 100 Wild Islands, our three brand new off-grid HypeDomes offer the ultimate escape into nature — with all the cozy comforts you crave.

Built to withstand the wild Atlantic elements, these frameless, all-weather domes invite you to stargaze from bed, sip coffee above crashing waves, and settle in by the warmth of your private woodstove. Whether it’s a foggy morning or a starry night, these domes are at the very heart of the Wild Islands Coast.
What’s Inside Your Dome:
- Panoramic ocean views through crystal-clear polycarbonate panels
- Privacy -Two-thirds of the dome is covered in insulating privacy panels, and the remaining clear portion can be covered with the blackout curtains which attach magnetically to the inside of the dome. This provides a completely private and darkened atmosphere inside the dome.
- Woodstove with a supply of dry firewood
- Private deck with indoor/outdoor chairs and unbeatable coastal views
- Amenities: Queen size bed with cozy linens, large 2kWh power bank to charge your devices and power the included induction cooktop, kettle for coffee and tea (included), mini fridge, water pump with small sink, lighting, fan
- Rain-proof & wind-ready – the domes stay comfortable in all weather

What Makes It Wild:
- Private coastal cliffside setting – Watch as Osprey, Bald Eagles, and other sea birds fly by just meters from the dome.
- Invisible deck – Our domes have no deck or railing visible from inside looking out, providing a sensation of floating above the forest floor.
- Access to our kayak rentals, boat tours, and Wild Island adventures
- Access to our 400 m (1300 ft) coastal hiking trail with trailhead just steps from the domes.
- Access to the 100 Wild Islands – a rare, untouched archipelago. Ship Rock Island, just 200 meters from our dock and visible from the domes, offers one of the only hiking trails on a Wild Island. Pack a picnic and and kayak out for lunch on top of Ship Rock!
- No Wi-Fi, no distractions — just the wind, the waves, and your own wild story. WIFI is not available at the domes, but is available a short walk away. Cell service is available, but somewhat limited in the area.
- Parking – Located less than 150 meters away, along a rugged pathway, guests must walk in, and carry their gear, to their domes.
- Comfort Station – There are no toilets inside the domes. Guests must use the off-grid comfort station located less than 100 meters away. The path is dimly lit for travel in the dark and flashlight lanterns are provided.
- Weather – The geo domes rounded surface hardly catches any wind, and since these domes are made of stiff polycarbonate panels, there is no flapping sound from canvas typical on traditional strut and canvas domes. The result: it’s peaceful inside these domes even when it’s windy and the sound of rain will lull anyone to sleep. And lightning storms, well, they are awesome! Unfortunately, you can’t reserve those…

Perfect For:
- Romantic couple getaways
- Off-grid adventurers and outdoor lovers
- Digital Detox – Unplug and unwind
- Reading Retreats – the perfect spot to just sit and read in nature.
- Storm watchers – Rain, wind, and lightning storms are magical inside the dome.
Not Perfect for:
- Children – These domes are nestled on the edge of a cliff… It’s dangerous. Children under 5 shouldn’t stay in these domes.
- Groups – The domes are 15 feet (4.6 m) in diameter offering 176 square feet (16.3 sqm) of floor space, with one queen-sized bed. The domes are best suited for 2 adults.
- Mobility Limited Individuals – The domes are situated on uneven terrain and have steps leading up on the decks. Parking is located less than 150 meters away, and guests must walk, and carry their gear, to the domes.
